So I saw this blanket on someone elses blog and thought I would try it.  Went to the store, bought 3 coordinating patterns of flanel. Started sewing lines and got about half way done and realized that I needed 4 layers of fabric, not 3, but then I thought what the heck, I'll finish it and see how it turns out.  This is the finished product. :) I'm pretty happy with it.
It really wasn't that hard to make either. I used 1 yard of each color of fabric. You stack all four (I'll post a picture of that tomorrow, because I did do it right after I messed this one up, but I like this one better) layers of fabric on top of each other, 1 facing down the other 3 facing up. Then you start to sew straight lines. I sewed them about 1/2" apart. This pattern was easy because I had lines to follow, but the other one wasn't as easy, my lines got a little crooked, but I was not gonna unpick all of it to make them straight. Anyways, keep sewing until the whole thing is covered in lines. After you have all of the lines done, get your scissors out and start cutting. You will need to cut the top 2 layers of fabric on the side with 3 layers facing the same way.  You will need to cut between all of the sewed lines. Then you're gonna bind the edges and wash.

Ok, here is the other one that has the right amout of layers. :) I like it, but I think I like the other one better.
This is one I made yesterday. I kinda like making therse. :)
